Wherever you are
coming from, you have to at some point get on Trans Canada Highway No. 1 and
drive towards Squilax Bridge. You can locate it on the attached map north-east of Chase.
Please click on images to enlarge them. We would also advise you to print
this page and take it with you while traveling to our cottage.
If
you are driving West on Trans Canada Highway No. 1, please turn left towards
Shuswap and Adams Lakes and onto the Squilax Bridge. From where this
picture was taken, You are about 9.6 km away from the cottage. It
is probably a good idea to set your odometer to zero at this point.
If
you are driving East (towards Calgary), you will turn right onto the Squilax
Bridge. The sign on the road will point you towards Shuswap Lake Provincial
Park. You are approximately 9.7 km away from the cottage. It will be easier
for you to follow these directions if you set your odometer to zero at this
point.
This
is how your exit from Trans Canada Highway looks like.
The
Squilax Bridge will take you north of Trans Canada Highway across the North
Thompson River.
Follow
the road toward Shuswap Lake and Adams Lake Provincial Parks. About 6.2 km
from the cottage there will be a turn left towards Adams Lake. DO NOT TAKE
LEFT TURN but follow the road towards Shuswap Lake Provincial Park.
You
must watch now not to miss this "unmarked" exit onto the side road. The exit
is on your right hand side and you will notice mail boxes on the side of the
road. You are only about 210 meters from the cottage.
You
will cross Adams River through one-lane wooden bridge. You are now about 5.7
km from the cottage.
Follow
the side road which runs parallel to the road to Scotch Creek and Shuswap
Lake Provincial Park.
